The New Order

Administration of President Soekarno weakening by the G30S affair (30 september movement) in 1965. Of the G30S affair, happened of events until the change of government from Soekarno to Soeharto who at the time was a presidential aide. In 1968, the Assembly was formally inaugurated Soeharto for 5-year terms as president.

Indonesia start The New Order with Soeharto. Administration of President Soeharto dominated by elements of the military, because his background in the military. However, under President Soeharto Indonesia has a lot of progress, especially in the economic field. With the focus to the economic development of Indonesia Indonesia became self-sufficient in food began in 1984. Indonesia also contributed one million tonnes of dry paddy (rice) from farmers to give to the people of Africa who suffer from hunger. Besides the economy, in education president Soeharto also make compulsory education policy that is currently into developed 9-year compulsory education. With the many advances in many fields, President Soeharto known as the father of nation-building. He was also inducted in a row back in 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, and 1998 by the Assembly.

After The Independence

After Indonesian became independent on August 17, 1945, Indonesia's independence preparatory committee (Panitia Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia - PPKI) inaugurated Ir. Sukarno as the first president and Moh. Hatta as the first vice president of Indonesia on August 18, 1945. Then Ir. Sukarno decided he served as president for life. After the president and vice president elected, and then formed the Central Indonesian National Committee (Komite Nasional Indonesia Pusat – KNIP) as interim parliament until next elections held. The new government was declared on 31 August 1945 and wanted the Republic of Indonesia which consists of eight provinces, namely: Sumatra, Kalimantan, West Java, East Java, Central Java, Sulawesi, Maluku and Nusa Tenggara.

While deciding to become president for life, but Ir. Sukarno was president only for 11 years, from 1945-1966. During the Sukarno led, a lot of development going on, including monumen nasional (Monas), MPR building, and planning of the capital city.

Indonesia's Independence

August 17, 1945 is an important date for Indonesia, because on that day the nation became independent and began his journey as a nation free from colonial rule. Once colonized by the Dutch for 350 years and Japan for 3 years, finally the Indonesian people could determine the fate of his own nation.

Ir. Sukarno, youth who born in Surabaya, proclaimed Indonesia’s independence on 17 August 1945 at 10:00. He, with his best friend, Drs. Moh. Hatta, were signed a proclamation prepared by Ir. Sukarno, Drs. Moh. Hatta, and Mr. Ahmad Soebarjo. This proclamation was read by Ir. Soekarno at his house, 56 East Road Pegangsaan. After reading the proclamation, the flag, which had been sewn by Mrs. Fatmawati, flown accompanied with Indonesia Raya song.

August 17, 1945 became the starting point of a colonized nation to nation free. Indonesian state can regulate what they are entitled to. With the coordination, Panitia Persiapan Kemerdekaan Indonesia (PPKI) decisions, approve and establishUndang-Undang Dasar (UUD) as the state of the Republic of Indonesia.

I'm sure that all of you must know and at least ever heard this name, Indonesia. Indonesia is an archipelago country which is famous and rich with agricultural products such as rice,corn; sea - products such as fish, sea-weeds,etc. People who haven't gone to Indonesia yet, will fall in love with the beautifulness of Indonesia. One of the most well known place in Indonesia is Bali, and I'm sure that everyone will agree with my statement. Do you know "sate ayam","bakso"? Yeah, those are the famous foods in Indonesia and there are many foreigners love these kinds of foods.
